There are new bat rules in effect for all levels of play starting in 2018. This rules will be in effect for both in-house and tournament. Our insurance provider has informed us that we must comply with the rules in order for our coverage to be in effect. The object of these rule changes is to make the game safer and to use bats with a "wood feel".
The Cal Ripken rule is below.
There are no changes to the softball bat rules.

- Approved Bats - Cal Ripken Baseball and Babe Ruth Baseball
- Cal Ripken Division - All non-wood bats must have the USABat Marking. The Barrel Maximum is 2 5/8". No BBCOR Bats are permitted in the Cal Ripken Division. For the T-Ball Division, bats must be marked with the USABat T-Ball Stamp.
